GIGS Awards and Fellowships for Students

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and donors, there are a number of awards and scholarships available to undergraduate and graduate students. Donor supported student awards and bursaries provide students with a valuable resource and the opportunity to pursue their studies . We thank our many alumni, friends, corporations, faculty and staff who have supported these awards and our affiliated students.

GIGS Scholarship for Excellence in Business Administration Studies

Description: 

The GIGS Scholarship for Excellence in Business Studies is awarded to full-time undergraduate students enrolled in Business or related degree. Applications must demonstrate academic excellence and financial need. A high degree of leadership and commitment to matters related to sustainability and United Nations Development Goals is desirable.

Amount: 

C$500 or equivalent in local currency

​

Eligibility:

Full-time undergraduate students currently encrolled in business or related degrees.

  2. Academic Transcript

  3. Cover Letter (Demontrating commitment to scholarship goals. Maximum 500 words)

GIGS Graduate Fellowship for Excellence in Research

Description: 

This scholarship is made annually to (an) enrolled full-time masters or doctoral student(s) who demonstrate(s) academic excellence in a graduate program of an accredited university who is actively involved in research in the area of sustainability and governance. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need.

Amount: 

C$1,000 or equivalent in local currency

​

Eligibility:

Full-time masters or doctoral students currently encrolled in a graduate degree whereby a thesis or dissertation is a necessary requirement.

  3. Cover Letter (Demontrating commitment to scholarship goals. Maximum 500 words)
